Beauty Booster for Autumn
Summer is coming to an end and our skin is left dry and dull. After intensive exposure to the sun or skin dehydration, now is the perfect time to give our skin some support with the help of natural substances, so that we can ensure a radiant complexion for the upcoming golden season.
Autumn is a transitional phase between the maximum yang (summer) and maximum yin (winter). The shift is subtle but it is important to avoid colds, digestive disconfort and respiratory issues.
In chinese medicine, fall is associated with the large intestine and the lungs. When these are out of balance, they can lead to digestive and skin issues. It is imperative to keep our digestive and respiratory system in shape to stay healthy during the winter.
My recommendations are:
Eat food to strengthen the lungs: tremella, water chestnuts, sesame, sugar cane, apples, pears, honey and mushrooms.
Eat food to support and strengthen your digestive system: root vegetables, squashes, quinoa, millet, rice, peanuts, adzuki beans, barley.
Drink nourishing ginger and jujube tea: 200g ginger+160g jujube +60g black or brown sugar+ 30g goji berries
Follow the sun rythm and go to bed when it’s dark and wake up when sun rises.
Practice QiGong and Acupuncture to strengthen your systems.
Exfoliate your skin to remove all died and dry skin cells and promote skin renewal and new glow
Use regenerative serum and body oils to nourish your skin after summer dryness.
